Playing in the Sugar Bowl again.  This week's challenge  is Lilians sketch with the theme of pink, black and white.   I used magenta holographic card for the pink with one of the older original Sugar Nellie stamps,  Maggie with stick. The stamped image was coloured with promarkers.  The strips were embossed with words and edges inked before layering up with flowers.  A few gemstones to finish.

I have just got this lovely kit from Silly Beans Scraps (www.getdigiwithit.com) and just how versatile is this little kit! We have just got back from visiting our new Granddaughter Daisy Grace. I cant beleive how much she has changed sine we first saw her. After 9 months and 16 days if waiting Baby Daisy Grace Allen finally decided to make her presence known. Born to my eldest daughter Lyndsey today by C Section at 15.26 GMT weighing a healthy 8lb 15.5oz and 53cm long.I cant wait to travel down to Manchester to see her tomorrow. After a weekend of waiting near the telephone for our grandchild to appear I spent most of the time loading up clothes on to ebay. After I used the last template, I have found a few more challenges using templates. This one was the template challenge from the pickleberrypop forum. You get those times when everything seems to go wrong, the cat is sick and it is looking serious and expensive.Mother in law is very time demanding as she recovers froma long illness. These two beautiful bears were photographed near the top of Grouse Mountain, Vancouver. They had been found as cubs and rescued bby the rangers and given a safe area to live. We were told by the ranger that they both had a pool each as they were quite territorial and refused to share. The photos were taken with Canon 450 DSLR.

I thought I would try something different today. I found this lovely large paisley stamp from elusive images. So I heat embossed it in a nive glossy balck and had great fun colouring it with sakura pens and sprinkling glitters. It turned out better than I was expecting, but I think it was shaping the acrylic text stamp to the paisley contour which finished it off.

I have been feeling full of flu with one of those tickly coughs all weekend. I must have felt ill, to take myself off to A&E with severe chest pains. Little did I know I would be kept in for five days undergoing a multitude of tests and complete bed rest with a suspected blood clot on my lungs. I am so excited! I am waiting for the registration to open for me to book my Scrap-a-Ganza retreat to Holland in June. I can sign up for the classes until I receive my email but I keep trying and trying and refreshing the page but to no avail!I wont sleep tonight although I have just booked the flights as well :) YIPPEE

How easy is it to give in to peer pressure? I had the chance to play with new scrapbooking tools a couple of weeks ago and just loved the new Cuttlebug from Provocraft. We had a lovely time near Loch Lomand sampling a few drams and having Haggis, neeps and tatties for Burns night! Unfotrunately there was no snow where we were apart from right on the mountain tops.
