Girls about Town

I have been feeling full of flu with one of those tickly coughs all weekend. It didn't help that the washing machine flooded again yesterday and shorted out the house electrics. we were only halfway through the basket which meant only hubby's clothes were washed and mine are left until we manage to get another washer delivered asap! Which just means that I couldn't possibly go out so I had time to create some cards. These are made using the lovely new Stampivity design stamps Girls About Town. I just love the attitude of the blue one and they are such a great size as well. Well I better go and find some clothes from the back of my wardrobe to wear for work on Monday.

Easter Freebies

Did you have a good Easter Break? I have all my lovely children and their partners to stay over the weekend. It was lovely to see them them but even better nopw they have all gone back and we have the house to uourselves again! I have designed the Spring into Easter digital kits available on the shop for free. Yes that is FREE! These are not only for Digi scrappers but as a resource for hybrid scrappers and cardmakers who like to print out their background papers. I just love the little felt lamb.

Magnolia creations

Finally after weeks of just colouring them in, I made my first card with the magnoloa stamps. This ones uses Scrappy cats background paper with a double stamping of magnoloas

Little Babies

It seems that averyone I know is expecting at the moment! from Lou who has just announced she is expecting twins, Claire is due any time and Jo has given birth to a bouncing boy on Mothers day. I just had to send some congratulations cards. These were created with TLC background papers and Sugar Nellie stamps. The twins card was made by masking off the first stamped image and stamping over to show two sugar babies. Now I really must get on and design the wedding invitations!

I must confess...

I have been carried away since I found the range od Sugar Nellie stamps from Funky Kits. I bought three, then when I stamped them, had to go and buy another six! I have been colourng and painting. My husband wants to know what mt obsession is with colouring little dolls. Every night when I come home from work I have sat down with a laptray to colour and paint. I have tried oil based pencils, water colour pencils, pigment powder paints with Mica, water colour paints and acrylics. All seeing what different effects they gave on the lovely little nellies. Now I have made up some of the designs into cards and ATC's.

Feeling Better...

I must have felt ill, to take myself off to A&E with severe chest pains. Little did I know I would be kept in for five days undergoing a multitude of tests and complete bed rest with a suspected blood clot on my lungs. After days of blood thinning injections my stomach is more black and blue bruises than pale pink flesh! But I have rested and now am feeling better. I haven't even managed to do much crafting while I have been ill, although I have managed a little freebie digi kit which you can download HERE .
