Halloween Nellie

Its only August I hear you shout! what's with the Halloween post? Well while surfing on my favorite stamping site Sugar Nellie, they asked if anyone had made their stamps into Halloween cards.  I had made a few Halloween cards for my friends in previous years so I thought I would make  Nellie one in good time. Here is the altered Coffee Time Manga stamp where I turned the cup into a small pumpkin lantern and added a nice big Witches hat to her head.  I doodles the cobwebs and created the bat but the background matt is one of my new embossed frame dies for my cuttlebug.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 36

Playing in the Sugar Bowl again.  This week's challenge  is Lilians sketch with the theme of pink, black and white.   I used magenta holographic card for the pink with one of the older original Sugar Nellie stamps,  Maggie with stick. The stamped image was coloured with promarkers.  The strips were embossed with words and edges inked before layering up with flowers.  A few gemstones to finish.

A spoonfull of Sugar Nellies

I was delighted to see my blog chosen on the Banner promotion  of the Sugar Nellies. Karen has worked hard for years to build up the business and her success is down to hard work and determination.  Well done.  As more fantastic illustrators move into the house of Nellie things are only going to get better!. My sugar treat was the lovely new stamp Sporty one of the manga range. you can find him here I couldn't wait to use him and coloured him in with pro-markers and used Crate Papers in the background.  This card is going for my brother in law. Recently the Little Cotton Rabbits featured on the Sugar Nellie blog here   I had just finished making this card for a colleagues new baby boy and thought you might like to see it.

New book designs and fantastic card making team

Wow! All I can say is there is a wealth of fantastic talented card makers out there! I published a few craft sheets over the Easter weekend on the award winning CraftsUPrint website seen here at http://www.craftsuprint.com/default.cfm?r=233170&designer=545 a selection of wonderful designers have taken a simple card design sheet and made them into wonderful card designs. I am in awe of their work. I have had Gwyneth George, Elaine Harmer, Maxine Jones, Kristina Norbat, Ruth Hoffman, Tracey Drage-Baillie and Jennie Ingersent. All have bought my designs card craft sheets and have created the most wonderful greeting cards with them. I cannot put the finished cards on here as the copyright belongs to the individual card makers but you can see their designs HERE I love their work, and would like to say a huge thank you to them all.

Birthday Celebration Age Cards

There are times when I need to make a slightly special card. I was about to start in my craft room to make an 80th birthday card for my mother in law when himself pipped up@will you make one for Claire?' So I rummaged for my Sugar Nellie Stamps and found matching papers and realised it was actually easier to make two similar cards than two different ones. The colorway is the same as the papers were mixed and matched to suit, Both have the age in large numbers and both have a Sugar Nellie, but they are very different!

Card Craft Sheets

I have been making a different type of greeting cards lately. My stamps and Sugar Nellies have been put to rest for a few weeks as I have been making hybrid cards from card craft sheets. these few are made up from my own design sheets which are available for sale by clicking the link on the right for the CraftsUPrint website. While you are there you may even find Crafty Bob as his jackpot payout is getting bigger each day!
