Our little darling Ellie has gone....

after weeks of medical treatment for which she had seemed to stump the vetinary profession, our beautiful little chocolate Point Siamese cat died at the weekend.

Ellie had been loosing weightand we though we would get her checked out, to which the vets removed her teeth as they suspected she had a painful gum disease. She seemed to get better until a few days later she developed a huge absess on her jaw which required daily antibiotics. Then after several weeks of treatment and still no improvement she failed desperately and was rushed to hospital. during this time they tested her for everything from cat AIDS to Leukemia and was clear of any disease.

Ellie was in hospital for five days while they had her on a drip for fluids and IV antibiotics. She then started to get well again and came back home to play with her partner Harvey and her kittens Lyla and Pixie.

Ellie was home for only a week then she stopped eating started to deteriorate again. She was so week she could hardly stand. We took her back to the vets who sent her off to hospital again. After few more tests they told us she had a form of cancer which her organs had failed.

we only had four years with Ellie and we miss her cuddles and affection. Her kittens continue to stroll around the house crying for her and searching her usual nesting places.

I made this layout to remember her by:

A long awaited makeover...

They say all things happen for a reason. However, we dont think of that when someting goes wrong, we only look on the downside. Two weeks ago I couldn't upload my new kit to my online digital scrapbooking store. I tried several FTP packages but gave up. Then It wouldn't let me log in to adminster the store. " The computer said no !" I left for a few days until I received and email from a customer ( I dont get many, customers that is not emails) who stated hat she had ordered items but did not receive the download link. Oh dear, there really was somethng wrong with the site and I didn't know how to fix it. What I did know was how to create a new site, the previous one was three years old and I must admit it had lots of unnecessary files in the back that I was unsure whether I could delete or remove. I also wanted to update the design but was unwilling to mess up a live working site. You know the old saying, "if it's not broke dont fix it", well not i

Stamperia Oriental Garden Album 10 x 12

I love making mini books and albums at the moment.  This was an online class with Cal Summers from The Scrap Lab..  This design was originally called the Office Hours Book. its a long time since I made one so big, at 10 x 12 it only has three pages attached to the spine, but loads of layers and places for photos.  I haven't decided what photos to use for this one yet.  Walkthrough video here

Boudoir Photography or 'How to look Good Naked'

I love Gok Wan's show 'How to look Good naked', I seem to cry everytime when people get their self confidence to go for it! The photographs are always artfully posed and not actually showing anything indecent. When I atended Cheryl Johnsons Photography bootcamp earlier this year we learned about staging shots so although I had the therory, its rare that an opportunity arises for me to practice. When my daughter Michelle got married to Ben on 10th October this year, I went up to her bedroom with Michelle whilst the 'official' wedding photographer was downstairs. As she was getting ready Michelle was up for me posing her on their bed for a few photographs. Although not quite naked, she wore her wedding underwear which consisted of blue frilly pants, white stockings and her blue robot shoes. She had her tiara on and only needed her dress to finish off the outfit. I was so pleased with how this photo turned out that I had it made into a large canvas and presented it to
