Scrapbooking events and memorabilia

Can you remember back when we were allowed to go to concerts and events?  I remember when I was a teenager, I saved all my concert ticket stubs up. I had them from Status Quo and David Bowie and was quite proud of all the concerts I had been to.  Of course I wanted to keep these little tickets and I didn't know about scrapbooking then.
In my bedroom, I had an old Lloyd loom bedside cabinet in a muted pink. ( remember them) any way it had a glass top. So I carefully unscrewed the little brackets and arranged my tickets under the glass so they were safe and I could see them.
Unfortunately after yet another argument with my step mother, I left to live with my grandmother again. Only to find my stepmother had got rid of the Lloyd loom cabinet complete with my concert tickets.
When my son started going to concerts, he came back from seeing Feeder and meeting Dave Grolsh with a signed copy of his ticket stup, a signed flyer and a signed guitar plectrum. He was made up.
These items were arranged simply on a 12x12 scrapbook page and kept in an album. I have just found the album again and have framed his memorabilia page for him to hang in his own home.
Thanks for reading
Kim

It was a shock to they system to go back to work after two weeks in the sun. Especially when I haven't even finished wading through the mountain of laundry. As a distraction to avoid looking at the laundry, I have been reviewing the photos which I took in Egypt while I was playing with my new Canon 450D camera and the 50mm lens which Allan bought me for Christmas. These very clever carvings were on display in the hotel restaurant. They had lovely displays of fruit and vegetables everyday. I just had to capture the colourful display. I set off tonight for my Tuesday weight watchers class in anticipation of the two weeks all inclusive menu of the Hauza Beach Resort in Sharm would have increased my weight dramatically. I was overjoyed to find I had stayed the same as before my holiday and not managed to put on an ounce! I don't believe it, we must have drank at least a bottle of red wine each day. I will have to be really ggood for this week otherwise it will show on m...

Playing in the sugar Bowl

This Card was created for the Sugar Bowl Challenge no 30 where the challenge was to create a card based on a sketch and make it shabby chic. I used an Easel card style as I love these at the moment!. I altered my GorJuss girl stamp and added Wings and another butterfly which was lifted off 3D with silicone glue. The background papers were from Basic Grey and Crafty Individuals. The background circle was embossed with the damask Cuttlebug folder and all were distressed with Ranger inks. The Angel words stamp is an old one from Debbie Moore designs. a couple of prima flowers, brads and stickles finish off the design.

Still Waiting.....

We are still waiting for our grandchild to be born. Our daughter is now 10 days over her due date and getting bigger and bigger. We hope that everything is well and baby is born with some intervention early next week. I hope this lazy baby will stay happy and contented when it emerges into the world. There is a large family waiting to meet him or her! As I am waiting, I used the Waiting to Happen kit from MGLscraps. This kit is so versatile and perfect for scrapping our waiting game. The layout is of my daughter Michelle when she showed teenage attitude.
